Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 8 oz Lion's mane mushrooms Torn into thick, bite-sized chunks
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil or butter For cooking
  • to taste Salt To season
  • to taste Pepper To season
  • 1 clove Garlic Optional, added at the end
  • 1 tbsp Fresh lemon juice Optional, for added flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Tear the lion's mane mushrooms into thick, bite-sized chunks with your hands.
  2. Wash them quickly if dirty, then pat them dry.
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil or melt butter.
  2. Once hot, add the mushroom chunks to the skillet, making sure not to crowd them.
  3. Cook for 2-3 minutes without stirring to allow one side to brown.
  4. Flip the mushrooms, season with salt and pepper, and continue cooking until both sides are golden and crispy, about another 4-5 minutes.
  5. If desired, add minced garlic in the last minute of cooking and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top before serving.

Notes

Best served fresh, but can be stored for up to 2 days cooked in a sealed container. Freeze sautéed mushrooms for up to a month.
