  • 4 fillets cod fillets, fresh Make sure they are patted dry.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Use fresh garlic for best flavor.
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice Freshly squeezed lemon juice recommended.
  • 1/2 tsp salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper Adjust to taste.
  • 1 slices lemon, thinly sliced For garnish on top.

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the cod fillets dry and arrange them in a baking dish.
  3. In a bowl, mix together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour the mixture over the cod fillets, and optionally add thin lemon slices on top.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the cod flakes easily with a fork.
  2. Watch closely to avoid overcooking.
