- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- In a big bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, and vanilla until glossy.
- Add melted dairy free butter or coconut oil and mix until combined.
- Dump in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Stir until no dry flour remains.
- Gently fold in chocolate chips and nuts if desired.
- Scrape batter into a lined baking pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 22-26 minutes. Test with a toothpick; it should come out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool before slicing.
Notes
For gluten-free brownies, use a gluten-free flour blend with xanthan gum. Let cool fully before cutting for better texture.
